We started rescuing ferrets in January 1998.
We have had many ferrets through our centre, which is based in the Holderness area of East Yorkshire, since we started. If we know or think they are over 5 years old then they go into our geriatric unit to live out there lives with us in luxury otherwise we try and find them a loving home.
We are an RSPCA approved rescue centre with links to the Blue Cross, PDSA also the World Ferret Union. We are members of the National Ferret Welfare Society. We take in ferrets from all over the East Riding of Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire.
We receive no funding from any other organisation or groups, we rely totally on the generosity of the general public.
After meeting one of the Directors of Vitalin Pet Foods at one of the shows we attended we decided to be cheeky and ask for some freebees. Since then we are proud to be the only Ferret organisation in the country to be sponsored by Vitalin.
We attend shows, fetes, garden parties and charity events throughout the summer, we are also available to give talks or displays to schools, colleges and any other interested parties to educate children and adults as to the needs and welfare of the ferret.
We can be contacted at any time either by telephone or E.Mail for people to discuss any problems or queries which we will answer to the best of our ability, we have access to a vast store of knowledge through our contacts across the country and abroad.
