Established in 1991 as a self-help group, APPD has over recent years undertaken significant development, which has been made possible due to a grant received from the Community Fund. Today the Association is an organisation that offers a variety of services that are run and managed by a team of staff and volunteers, many with varying disabilities, living within Beverley and its surrounding areas.
The main activity of our organisation is:-
A free and confidential Benefits Advisory Service; from initial enquiries to undertaking casework, home visits, advocacy and providing often needed support through representation at Appeals Tribunals.
