Welcome To the Hull Geological society 'Beehive' page.
We are an educational charity, established in 1888 for all those interested in rocks, minerals and fossils and all other aspects of earth science.

We organise a regular programme of events, with field trips within the region and further afield in the summer and a series of lecture meetings in the winter.
We also run an annual public lecture on a subject of popular interest in association with Hull Museums.
Our members are active in several local research projects, as well as pursuing individual specialist interests. Much of this, and much more is published in our journal "Humberside Geologist" availible free to members and also on the web.
All our meetings are open to non-members, but you must arrive before the start of the meeting.
