A VILLAGE HALL AT LAST
Fundraising continued throughout the 1950's and at last in 1962 permission was granted, the land transferred and a hut which had been used by the Armed Forces on Spurn Point was erected. All funds were used so villagers were asked to donate tables and chairs until some could be purchased. The hall has a maple floor. In 1965 a small extension to the kitchen was initiated and in1970 extra rented land was acquiredto be used as a car park. That land is still rented today.
