The team was formed in 1977 as Middleton Garland Dancers and Longsword Team. and became known as the Beverley Garland Dancers in 1986.
We perform a variety of garland and stick dances from Lancashire and Cheshire along with our members' self penned ones.

Eric Storey

It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of founder member and band leader Eric Storey on 3rd December 2009.
Eric had a stroke in October 2008 and although he recovered enough to play again could not survive the repeated attacks on his health.
He will be remembered for his bright and rythmic playing,his vast knowledge of folk dance and other music, his willingness to help lesser musicians and his friendship.
He will be greatly missed by his friends in the team.
