1st SUNDAY IN LENT
The first Sunday in Lent is when we place bread and a wine chalice on the Lenten Cross,to remind us of the last supper Jesus shared with His disciples when He introduced the sacrament of Holy Communion.

The second Sunday in Lent when placed on the Lenten Cross is a towel and a basin to remind us of Jesus washing His disciples' feet.

The Lenten Cross on Easter Day is stripped of the reminders of Easter Week and Flowers depicting a new dawning are placed on the empty cross.
