Established in 1911, the Choir is strong and vibrant, fully aware of the great tradition of joyous singing which has been inherited from its predecessors and constantly looking forward to entertaining audiences everywhere.
The Hull Male Voice Choir became a Registered Charity (Number 1124474) with effect from 11 June 2008, its stated objectives being to study and practise choral music in order to foster public knowledge of such music by means of public performance.
So let us entertain you !

HULL MALE VOICE CHOIR CELEBRATES CENTENARY IN 2011
For approaching nearly 100 years now, the Hull Male Voice Choir has given immense pleasure and entertainment to the citizens of Kingston upon Hull and others both in the UK and overseas, its unique sound providing a rich tone expertly blended together by its Musical Director Julian Savory and accompanied by the Choir's versatile pianist Dorcas Leather. As can be seen in other parts of this web-site, exciting plans are being finalised to celebrate the Centenary.

The Choir is constantly in search of new members and in addition to giving musical pleasure to others, there is even evidence to suggest that singing is good for you because it has physical benefits as it is an aerobic activity that increases oxygenation in the blood stream and exercises major muscle groups in the upper body, even when sitting !
So, you men, come and join us and sing for your heart and join the Hull Male Voice Choir which is currently recruiting for all parts !!!!
We meet on Wednesday evenings and new members are assured of a very warm welcome. The ability to read music is not essential.
In particular, we are searching for young men who would be interested in joining our Choir - but age is not a barrier (far from it!).

Our repertoire comprises a wide range of music including not only the more traditional male voice choir choruses but many modern and popular items as well including those sung and made famous by The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Westlife, Celine Dion and others - the Choir is constantly updating its library with new music.
