The Chalkland Way is a 40-mile circular walk on the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, most conveniently started and finished at Pocklington, which is served by buses from Hull, York, Beverley and Driffield.
It is often walked in three sections, using B & B facilities along the route, but many people have walked it in numerous short sections.
The route has been waymarked & signposted by East Yorkshire, & North Yorkshire Councils.
It was established in 1994, by the East Yorkshire and Derwent Area of The Ramblers' Association.
The picture below, by George Barker, shows the kind of scenery through which the walk passes.
