JOE SOLO
Once front-man for Hull–based band Lithium Joe, – highly entertaining songwriter JOE SOLO adopted his stage-name for his own appearances when the group split up. Joe is a great songwriter now based in Scarborough, who is obviously inspired by the quirky world around him.
LIKE A THIEF
Holly Jazz Lowe is the driving force behind her band Like A Thief and is lined up for a full night at The Pea in October. As a preview/taster Holly will also be appearing tonight with her unique style and great catchy songs. (pic c/o David Barrett)
GRAHAM BRADY & EMILY ROWLEY
Graham is one of Hull's finest songwriters- and is presently 'over the moon' about this collaboration with one of the finest vocalists in the area!
ROB NICKLAS
Rob (ex Two Short Planks) is a great songwriter and versitile performer whether solo or with his feel-good band Mean Eyed Cat. An outstanding musician with a dry sense of humour.

SNAKE DAVIS & THE BURDEN OF PARADISE
THIS project sees Snake teaming up with singer Helen Watson. Hailing from Manchester, Helen has a unique style and strong distinctive voice, crossing the boundaries between jazz, blues, soul and folk. The two first worked together many years ago when Snake played on Helen’s Blue Slipper album, which also featured Albert Lee and members of Little Feat. They made various TV appearances together and toured Europe opening up for Joe Cocker.
The line-up also includes Dave Bowie on double bass and guitarist Mark Creswell playing great songs, with poignancy, passion and lots of fun. The band play an eclectic mix of material from sources as diverse as Bob Dylan, The Loving Spoonful, Paul Simon and Free. £10

LIKE A THIEF (solo)
Singer- songwriter Holly Jazz Lowe spends as much time in London as her native Scarborough working on her very special music. Also part of the up-coming band 'Like A Thief' Holly, 25, the lead singer and innovator is an ex-piano bar player/singer from the Ritz and some of the sleaziest bars/clubs that London's Mayfair scene has to offer.
The bands single 'The hours we Kept' is gathering national radio play and press from all quarters. To support this release, Holly is to embark on what she likes to call her 'Howling Wolf Syndrome' solo tour across the country and we are pleased to be able to host one of the shows. £8

BENNY GALLAGHER
ONE half of hit makers and blue-chip songwriters Gallagher & Lyle. Benny began his career as a staff writer with the encouragement of Paul McCartney at Beatles Music Publishing Company Apple, writing songs for Mary Hopkin. Following the success of his band McGuiness Flint, Benny and fellow Scotsman Graham Lyle formed the distinctive duo Gallagher & Lyle that really made them a household name. Their album Breakaway was a worldwide smash with the title track being covered and taken into the charts by Art Garfunkel. Gallagher’s songs have also been covered by the likes of Bryan Ferry, Phil Everly, Ringo Starr, Simon and Garfunkel and Status Quo.
When McCartney set up the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, it was to Benny that he offered the post of Head of Music – an offer that had to be declined due to other commitments. In his rare solo performances he includes classic hits such as When I’m Dead and Gone, Breakaway, I Wanna Stay with You and Heart on My Sleeve. £10
